Mongolia to hold sports festival of disabled children

19 April 2018

Mongolia will organize a sports festival of disabled children in its capital Ulan Bator on May 29-31 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and China, the Physical Culture and Sports Authority of Mongolia said Wednesday.

The festival will be co-organized by the Physical Culture and Sports Authority of Mongolia, the Mongolian National Paralympic Committee, the Mongolian Committee of Deaf Sports, the Special Olympic Committee and Grand China Sports Limited.

Around 500 disabled Mongolian children will compete in eight different para sports in the forthcoming competition for 238 medals.

Mongolian government’s action plan (2016-2020) reflects a plan to build a disabled sports complex with Chinese non-refundable aid.

Mongolia and China are set to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2019.
