Since 1922, RI has benefited from the generosity of its donors and partners, who have made it possible for RI to complete its projects and advocacy work.
Membership
RI is a democratic membership organization with about 1,000 members in more than 100 nations. By joining RI, your organization will become a vital part of RI in making a difference in the international disability community. Your membership entitles you to many benefits such as RI publications; invitation to RI's Governing Assembly meetings and regional conferences; and numerous networking and project opportunities.
Individuals
For a gift of USD 6000 you will automatically become one of RI’s Life Patrons, which entitles you to special benefits. However, even a small donation enables RI to continue its work throughout the world.
Foundations and other Organizations
RI is proud to have the sponsorship of several governments, UN agencies and organizations. We welcome general support grants as well as project grants and regularly report to donors about the use of their gifts. In addition, given the scope and breadth of RI's work, donors can "match" their gifts to their organization's giving priorities.
Other forms of Assistance
In addition to tax deductible contributions, there are a number of ways to support RI’s work. Several governments, US agencies, members, individuals, and experts have collaborated with RI and provided in-kind gifts and technical as well as financial assistance.
In 2007, RI established the RI Foundation, which is another tax deductible vehicle to support RI programs, Regions, and Commissions.
